Smart Migration Initiative is a social service Non-Governmental Organisation that provides tailor made, practical and hands-on (smart) solutions to regional and African mobility challenges.

Isa Adamu

Founder/Principal Trustee

ISA ADAMU is the Founder/Principal Trustee of Smart Migration Initiative (SMI) a Non-Government Organisation. SMI assembles a network of trustees, experts and consultants with many years of experience in the field of migration management.
ADAMU holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Bayero University, Kano, with a work experience spanning more than three decades with Nigeria Immigration Service.
He is a certified expert on Managed Mobility: Trade, Migration and Labour Movement from the United Nations Institute of Training and Research and World Trade Institute; holds a Diploma on Irregular Migration Management from Spanish Police Institute; he is also a certified Document / Case management expert and investigator.
ADAMU is SERVICOM trained and an Associate Member of the Institute of Public Administration of Nigeria and Nigeria Institute of Public Relations. He is widely travelled having attended several courses under his portfolio.
He is a consummate teacher with particular flair for youth mentoring.
ADAMU does migration related consultancy for many International organizations and at present he is Migration EU Expert 2 (MIEUX 2) for International Center for Migration Policy Development ICMPD. He has similar affiliation with ECOWAS, IOM, UNODC and ILO.
ADAMU is married with children.

EHINMOWO, TOYIN is the Executive Secretary and a trustee of Smart Migration Initiative.  A result oriented self-starter with high capacity to work with minimal supervision and an excellent interpersonal communication skill, a devoted team player with high leadership skills. A passion for innovative thinking and capacity building on entrepreneurial skills. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Ondo State University, Ado Ekiti,

In pursuance of her entrepreneurial skills, she got a Trade Test Nigeria. Tailoring and Dressmaking Class 1 Standard from Federal Ministry of Labour and Productivity with a Contractor Employees HSE Training (Level 3) from the Nigerian Institute of Safety Professionals, Lagos in 2008. Ehinmowo was a Volunteer Instructor , Technical Aid Corp, Nigeria till 2016 and served with the Ministry of Youth, National Service and Culture, Namibia ( Youth Development Centre ,tutoring Entrepreneurship and Fashion Design.

She has been involved in community development since 1996 through Rotary International in a leadership position. Rotary International, Rotary club of Ikeja South, D9110 Nigeria since 1996 as Chairperson – Vocational Service, Chairperson – Club Service, Centennial President 2005, District Chair – Women in Rotary 2005 – 2008 Chairperson – District committee on Preserve Planet Earth and Polio Plus committee member.

She is an avid reader and a trainer with numerous presentations and training under her belt. Widely travelled and knowledgeable.

TANKO, NUHU KUTANA is a Migration management specialist, Document Forensic Analyst (Documents) Disaster Risk manager and was the Head of Operations, of the Document Fraud Unit (A forensic investigative Unit) of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) Headquarters with over 28 years of experience.
A trainer with a Masters Degree in Disaster and Risk Management (2013) Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria and P.G.D Disaster and Risk Management (2011) ABU, Zaria. Highly knowledgable and experienced in migration management and represented Nigeria in general meetings of the international Civil Aviation Organisation on Machine Readable Travel Documents and International Labour Organisation on the Sea farers’ identity Document Critical Thinking and Analysis. A resource person (National and International) on Security Documents and Forgery detection.
He was the main coordinator Contact person for the implementation of the International Organisation for Migration /Nigeria Immigration Service Project to deter Irregular migration to Europe, which Designed, installed and networked the operations of all the then 5 international Airports In Nigeria.
He is married with kids.

ODETUNDE, Taofeek Adedayo is a  highly motivated and results driven intelligent officer. Aggressive at identifying and resolving inefficient procedures and processes. Adept at completing demanding projects within crucial timelines. Thorough, detail and process oriented, strong follow through skills. Flexibility with respect to long and valuable hours of work as well as demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills across all levels including the effective exchange of complex technical data.

Taofeek has a Migration Management Diploma   from  Maastricht Graduate School of Governance,   Master of Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice,  Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Kaduna, Nigeria and a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Philosophy from Lagos State University, Ojo, Lagos, Nigeria.

Taofeek has been through a lot of training on Labour Migration Policy Management and Implementation, Airport Interdiction Training Course, Counter Trafficking training on keeping children safe, Nigeria, Guidelines/Monitoring Tools for the protection of children in formal care, Follow Up Course on Human Smuggling and Human Trafficking, Basic Course in Human Smuggling and trafficking Nigeria, Criminal Intelligence Analysis Course , Digital Evidence/Assets Recovery Nigeria, Financial and Assets investigation in Nigeria.

Bamigboye, Durotimi is a professional web developer, IT trainer. He graduated from University of Ilorin in Psychology and counseling but his passion and knowledge of IT and website design has created a niche for him in the IT world. He has been privileged working diligently with different organizations to add values, IT solutions and customized web designs to meet the needs of each business. Durotimi has also been an IT instructor at different schools’ summits, empowerment programs, community development programs etc.
He specializes in building websites with different web applications and also manages the web servers and leads the development team.
He spends most of his spare time learning new technologies and working on websites & projects. He also enjoys motivating young ones with passion for IT.
His experience includes: Frontend: HTML, CSS3/Sass, JavaScript/CoffeeScript, jQuery, AngularJS, Knockout, Backend/CLI: PHP, Ruby, Python, Node.js.
Frameworks:, Symfony, CakePHP, Zend Framework, Ruby on Rails, CMSs: WordPress, Joomla, CMSMS, several bespoke systems, Databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft Access, Server administration: Linux (Debian, Ubuntu, CentOS), cPanel / WHM

JEROME AGBUAYE EMMANUEL has over Seven years of professional work experience in marketing/ Publicity and Administration Skills in diverse multinational business settings. Focused, safety conscious, detail-oriented, highly organized with strong customer service and administrative skills. Consistently execute priorities in a timely manner leading to customer satisfaction and increased productivity for businesses.

Jerome has a  Bs.c Geography  from University of Maiduguri, Borno State. He has been a business co – ordinator and a teacher during his National Youth Service Corp.
